Pension Reform Act 2006 Teleconference & ERISA
On August 3, 2006, the Senate passed H.R. 4, the Pension Protection Act of 2006 (the “Act”)1, which provides significant relief from certain of the plan asset and prohibited transaction rules under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974. This new legislation would allow investment vehicles such as Hedge Funds to manage more assets from pension funds. What does this mean to Hedge Funds? How will employers cope? Where will employees land? The Global Knowledge Congress has assembled a team of experts, to help analyze this critical piece of legislation. The panel will present their findings at a 2 hour teleconference scheduled for November 2006.
