Steve Barber focuses on high-stakes commercial and mass tort litigation. He has substantial jury and bench trial experience, successfully trying cutting-edge contract, toxic tort, and mass tort cases throughout the country. Steve has successfully litigated several toxic tort MDLs, including obtaining dismissals of all claims against his client in the federal silica MDL, the federal welding fumes MDL, and the Texas asbestos MDL. He also serves as national trial and coordinating counsel for a Fortune 50 corporation litigating concealment, conspiracy, and other tort claims arising out of the company’s historic investigative efforts, research, and publications on various industrial chemicals.
Daniel Tranen is the Partner in Charge of the Saint Louis, Missouri and Southern Illinois offices of Wilson Elser, a national full service firm with nearly 40 offices around the United States and abroad. He focuses his practice on the defense of life sciences companies in single cases and in mass torts as well as large scale insurance coverage disputes.
