Mobile Privacy and Security Issues in 2015: Practical Guidance to Mitigate Data Breaches
Security risks and data breaches are indeed increasing and are even expected to intensify this 2015. One of the contributory factors to this trend is the robust growth of mobile commerce which involves enterprise data development and consumption on mobile devices. It is alarming that mobile security is on the top of the lists when it comes to security purposes. Currently, there are a lot of mobile security tools in the form of Mobile Devices Management (MDM) which offer various capabilities such as device asset management, secure browsing, application whitelisting, data loss prevention, mobile VPN, and app-level VPN. Although security analysts conclude that MDM is not really the answer to mobile security, it’s a significant defense toolkit.
One of the most risky security issues is the mobile shopping apps through which you can purchase the items you want. But you can never be sure of the transactions that you make. It’s a big problem for consumers to protect their data from cyber thieves who can have access on mobile data/device data especially when the app vendors receive data from the consumers.
In a two hour LIVE Webcast, a panel of thought leaders and practitioners assembled by The Knowledge Group will discuss the significant and latest issues on mobile security that will make listeners better understand the possible risks of mobile data breaches and help them strengthen their mobile security strategies from mobile attackers.
