Internal Investigations in Product Liability Cases: Your Practical Guide
Reports of product defects could be a serious problem to manufacturers. Steps to be taken should be properly planned and local quality-control managers must be proactive in addressing the problem before it poses worse scenarios such as investigations from outside counsel and product recalls. In these situations, internal investigation plays a crucial role. It may save them from the threat of further investigations and product liability litigation.
However, even internal investigations could become a challenge for manufacturers. An effective investigation takes not just careful planning but also strategic thinking to better protect the company and the clients at the same time.
