Douglas R. Hirsch is a founding member of the firm and heads the firm’s Litigation Group. Mr. Hirsch focuses his practice on financial services litigation, including SEC and FINRA enforcement actions, securities class and derivative litigation, and disputes between investors and investment advisers.  Mr. Hirsch also regularly counsels and advises investment advisers in connection with the drafting and litigation of employment and partnership/operating agreements, service provider agreements, third party marketing agreements, disclosure issues and ISDA issues.

Mr. Hirsch started his career at Lord Day & Lord, Barrett Smith and then worked at Schulte Roth & Zabel before becoming one of the founding members of Sadis & Goldberg.  Mr. Hirsch received his J.D. in 1990 from Hofstra University School of Law, where he was a member of the law review.  He received his B.A. degree in 1987 from Union College.  He is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars, the United States Court of Appeals for the First, Second and D.C. Circuits and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey.

Gianluca practices in the areas of securities litigation and regulation, antitrust litigation and counseling, financial services litigation, and other areas of commercial litigation. Gianluca has significant experience representing equity receivers in all facets of their duties and has successfully litigated a number of receivership matters in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Gianluca also has defended securities fraud class actions and other matters involving claims of fraud, civil racketeering, and other misconduct asserted against financial services firms and other businesses and their related individuals; antitrust claims asserted in class or other actions, including claims asserted against businesses in the financial services and healthcare industries; and other claims asserted against businesses and individuals in the financial services and other industries. Gianluca also has counseled businesses on structuring business practices in compliance with securities and antitrust laws.
