Sophilia focuses her practice on a variety of matters related to the protection of intellectual property, franchising, software and technology licensing, privacy and cybersecurity, and business and corporate transactions. Sophilia assists clients with all aspects of brand development, from the selection of a strong trademark to the enforcement of intellectual property rights. She supports clients as they grow their businesses internationally through the management of their global trademark portfolios and provides assistance in the negotiation of transnational agreements. She also assists clients in addressing issues and negotiating contracts arising from a wide variety of online activities including website policies, personal data possession and collection, and security breach plans and incidents. She has guided hundreds of businesses through trademark and copyright prosecution, business formation, and contracting and licensing issues.
Before joining Mullin Law, PC, Sophilia worked at a firm with a strategic partnership which allowed her to consult with thousands of entrepreneurs and small business owners. This opportunity helped Sophilia gain insight into the full gamut of trademark conflicts and business challenges that business owners face. Sophilia has also previously worked in the office of the Federal Public Defender, the office of Waco’s City Attorney, and Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas.

Farheen focuses her practice in the areas of employment law, franchising, and commercial litigation. Farheen assists clients with all aspects of management-side employment matters, including handbooks, employee policies and procedures, employment-related contracts, workplace investigations and training, independent contractor versus employee issues, joint employer issues, and matters involving anti-discrimination, FLSA, FMLA, ACA, NLRA, and state-specific statutes.
Before joining Mullin Law, PC, Farheen worked as a litigation associate at two prominent Dallas-area firms, devoting her practice to matters in arbitration and litigation in state and federal courts. Farheen also has experience resolving matters before the Texas Workforce Commission-Civil Rights Division, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the National Labor Relations Board.
Farheen received her J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law, where she was actively involved as a board member in several student organizations. Farheen also interned for a variety of courts and state offices, including the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas County Court of Law #4, Dallas County Public Defender’s Office, and Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, child abuse division. She was also an articles editor for SMU’s International Law Review, an oralist on Jessup International Law Moot Court Team, and an SMU Barrister. Farheen earned her bachelor’s degree in cognitive science from Rice University.

Before joining Mullin Law, PC, Kelly worked as an Associate for a prominent Dallas-based law firm, handling a variety of matters primarily in Estate and Probate Administration and Family Law. Kelly also has experience working as a Corporate Trustee for U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management.
Kelly received her Juris Doctor from the University of Wyoming College of Law, and her Bachelor of Business Administration from the Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business. While in law school and upon graduation, Kelly also interned for the University of Wyoming Athletics Compliance Office, as well as for the Southern Methodist University Athletics Compliance Office.

Laura focuses her practice in the areas of corporate and construction law, as well as, cyber security, regulatory compliance, and commercial litigation. Laura’s first career, as a successful entrepreneur who built and divested businesses in residential real estate and construction, lends her a true understanding of the challenges and rewards of business ownership. Combining that experience with her skills as a lawyer and certified mediator, provides commercial clients with legal representation that actively seeks reasonable, cost-effective solutions where possible, and is prepared to litigate when necessary.
Before joining Mullin Law, PC, Laura worked in the Office of General Counsel for a franchisor and owner of multiple restaurant concepts located throughout the U.S., Canada, and France. She developed experience navigating the heavily regulated industries of franchising and liquor licensing, as well as, FDA and FTC compliance. In supporting the operations, real estate, and construction departments, Laura drafted and aggressively negotiated favorable contract terms and developed policies to reduce liability and risk exposure in the field. Her focus there was litigation, construction, franchising, commercial contracts, trademark infringement, regulatory compliance, and due diligence support.
Laura graduated Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law where she achieved Master level in the advocacy program by competing and winning at the regional and national levels. She served as Chief Counsel of the Child Advocacy Clinic, representing minor children in State Court; was appointed National Student Liaison to the American Bar Associations Real Estate Section; and interned for both Texas District and U.S. District Courts.
