Royce F. Cohen is a founding member and co-chair of Stroock & Stroock &b Lavan’s eDiscovery and Information Governance Practice Group. She helps clients efficiently address the costs and risks associated with managing electronically stored information, particularly in connection to litigation and regulatory compliance. She assists clients with the development of records and information management plans, defensible litigation hold processes and auditing compliance policies and procedures. Working side-by-side with professional technical support staff to understand clients’ technology systems, she helps clients develop and implement best practices to efficiently identify, collect and process electronically stored information. Ms. Cohen monitors state, federal and global developments of the laws governing eDiscovery to ensure continued compliance of firm protocols, and monitors information technology developments and their impact on firm and client obligations in eDiscovery. She has managed all stages of electronic discovery both in-house and through the use of third party vendors, including negotiating terms of vendor agreements and implementing cost-control protocols. Ms. Cohen’s also has an active litigation practice, focusing on insurance and reinsurance arbitration and litigation.
Ms. Cohen is a member of the Sedona Conference, Working Group 1. She is also a member of the New York State Bar Association’s eDiscovery Committee and the Social Media Committee. She frequently speaks and moderates panel discussions on topics related to electronic discovery and her insurance practice.
Ms. Cohen obtained a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned her Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law.

Danielle’s practice focuses on complex corporate and commercial litigation and appellate matters, including ERISA defense, securities law and class action litigation, regulatory investigations and False Claims Act/Qui Tam defense litigation. She has defended clients across the full spectrum of ERISA litigation, including breach of fiduciary duty, prohibited transaction, stock-drop and 401(k) plan fee litigation, as well as ERISA appellate litigation. Danielle is currently defending two ERISA litigation matters before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Danielle has significant experience in E-Discovery management and consultation, advising clients and implementing defensible, cost-efficient strategies in all aspects of electronic discovery, including the preservation, collection, processing, review and production of electronically stored information. She has extensive experience managing large teams of litigation attorneys and paralegals on document reviews for large and complex, commercial litigation and regulatory investigation matters.
