Veronica Rendón is a partner in Arnold & Porter’s securities enforcement and litigation practice. She concentrates her practice on litigation, enforcement, and white collar criminal matters. She has successfully defended securities class action litigations; accountant and auditor liability matters; breach of fiduciary duty and common law fraud claims; as well as receiver, liquidator, and trustee actions, which often implicate the in pari delicto doctrine. Ms. Rendón has also defended investigations and enforcement actions brought by the US Securities & Exchange Commission, the US Department of Justice and State Attorneys General, as well as the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Ms. Rendón regularly appears in federal district court, Delaware Court of Chancery, and state courts. She also regularly lectures at professional conferences on issues facing the securities industry and financial markets.

Keith Peterka is a member of Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C.’s Professional Standards Group. Keith is the Firm’s subject matter expert for International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Fair Value Accounting, and SEC Reporting. Prior to joining MHM, Keith was a member of the PCAOB’s Inspections Division in New York, where he performed inspection of both domestic and international firms. Keith has extensive international experience having lived in both Europe and Asia where he consulted Companies on a variety of complex technical matters involving both U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
Keith received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Robert Morris University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
