Serene K. Zeni is a former Michigan Assistant Attorney General and currently Of Counsel in Dickinson Wright’s Troy, Mich. office. She counsels healthcare professionals and organizations in the development, establishment and maintenance of quality, risk management, and compliance programs. Her clients seek her assistance in an array of matters, from cybersecurity implementation to development of an entrepreneurial product, technology, or entity to comply with state and federal regulation. Serene has extensive experience in administrative law matters advising and defending professionals and facilities throughout the country against state and federal prosecution. She also handles the challenges of informatics and data cultivation, coordinating resources to accelerate quality performance and promoting organizational innovation and entrepreneurism.
In 2016, American Health Lawyers Association’s (AHLA) appointed appointed her Vice Chair of the the Alternative Dispute Resolution Affinity Group and to the 2016-17 Leadership Development Program class for the Health Care Liability and Litigation Practice Group. Serene achieved recognition in 2015 and 2016 as a Super Lawyers Rising Star and Top Woman Lawyer and Top Lawyer by Crain’s DBusiness. She earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science with a Minor in Biology from the University of Michigan, her law degree from Wayne State University Law School, and a Masters of Law in Health Law from Loyola University School of Law’s Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy.
