CPE Credit (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners)

CPE Requirements: The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners requires CFEs to complete at least twenty (20) hours of continuing professional education. At least 10 of these hours must relate directly to the detection and deterrence of fraud and 2 hours must relate directly to ethics.

Compliance Deadline: end of month when membership expires

Reporting Deadline: end of month when membership expires

Compliance Cycle: Annual

Approval of Programs: CPE credit from any organization will be accepted as long as the course meets the requirements set for acceptable types of CPE credit and acceptable fields of study.

Attendance Reporting Procedure: CFEs are required to certify their compliance by the end of their anniversary month, which is the month their membership is renewed each year.

CPE Credit (National Association of State Boards of Accountancy)

Requirements: The requirements for continuing professional education vary from state to state.

Approval of Programs: The Knowledge Group, LLC is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.nasbaregistry.org.

CPE Credit (Texas State Board of Public Accountancy)

CPE Requirements: All CPAs licensed in the state of Texas shall complete at least 120 hours of CPE in each three-year period, and a minimum of 20 hours in each one-year period. Four-hour ethics course that has been approved by the board must be taken every two years.

Approval of Programs: We have registered with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy as a CPE sponsor. This registration does not constitute an endorsement by the Board as to the quality of our CPE program.
