LOUISIANA CLE REQUIREMENTS

Louisiana CLE Requirements: All attorneys admitted to practice in Louisiana shall complete twelve and one-half (12.5) credit hours of continuing legal education including at least one (1) credit hour of ethics and at least one (1) credit hour of professionalism.

LA CLE Requirements Approval of Programs: The Knowledge Group does not automatically submit CLE application for all our programs in Louisiana. Attendees seeking approved credits should send an email. to email@example.com for more information.
Louisiana CLE Program Format: The Knowledge Group webcasts qualify as technologically assisted programming in Louisiana. Attorneys are limited to four (4) credit hours of technologically assisted programming per compliance period. View our list of LIVE Webcasts and Recorded Webcasts.
LA CLE Reporting Procedure: The Knowledge Group submits attendance report for approved courses to Louisiana Committee on MCLE.
Louisiana CLE Requirements For Newly Admitted Attorneys: Newly-admitted Louisiana attorneys in 2015 are required to complete twelve and one-half (12.5) credit hours of continuing legal education including at least eight (8) credit hours of ethics, professionalism or law office management, which can be earned in the year of admission or the following calendar year. Attorneys admitted in 2015 who have not practiced law in Louisiana, and have not practiced Louisiana law in any other jurisdiction since their admission, may qualify for the exemption from the MCLE requirements in December of 2016, at which time the exemption application form will be made available for use.
