MCLE Requirements: All attorneys admitted to practice in Alaska shall complete three (3) credit hours of approved Mandatory Ethics Continuing Legal Education (MECLE). In addition, attorneys shall complete at least nine (9) credit hours of approved Voluntary Continuing Legal Education (VCLE).
Compliance Deadline: December 31
Reporting Deadline: February 1
Compliance Cycle: Annual
Approval of Programs: The Knowledge Group does not submit application for CLE credits in Alaska. CLE courses which take place outside of Alaska or are webcast from outside of Alaska are not required to be accredited by the Alaska Bar Association. Bar members may claim credit for attendance at CLE programs offered in or from other jurisdictions if the program has been accredited by another MCLE jurisdiction.
Program Format: The Knowledge Group webcasts may fulfill MCLE requirements in Alaska. There is no limit to the number of credits an Alaska attorney can earn via TKG’s webcasts. View our list of LIVE Webcasts and Recorded Webcasts.
Attendance Reporting Procedure: The Knowledge Group does not submit attendance report to Alaska Bar.
For Newly Admitted Attorneys: Newly-admitted attorneys in the state of Alaska report for the year immediately following their year of admission.
