Utah Attorneys Take Note: MCLE Deadline Is June 30

Utah requires its attorneys to complete 24 or more hours of continuing legal education every two years. The June 30 deadline for course completion is fast approaching. (The reporting deadline is July 31.)

Of the 24 minimum credit hours, at least 3 must be ethics or professional responsibility, including one hour of professionalism and civility.

The first reporting period for new Utah attorneys also ends on June 30 of the second full year after Bar admission. Special requirements include NLTP mentoring and New Lawyer Ethics.
